We aren't buying an election, we're earning it.
The legislative branch of government was always about us, the people. The executive branch, and the judicial branch, were almost always filled with more of an elite class. But Congress and State Legislators were about us, the everyday, regular people of this country. That is unfortunately no longer the case. The average election in my State Senate district of 26, takes $90,000. to buy, er..., I mean win. That's an obscene amount of money to waste in an election. That money could be spent on a lot of other good causes. That's why in this campaign we have vowed to spend less than a third of the amount spent and raised by our opponents. If I can't win with $30,000 or less, then I don't want or deserve to win. You see we are used to doing a lot with a little. My small business skills have taught me how to fight against multi-national corporations with an advertising budget measured in the hundreds of dollars instead of the millions. That's going to be important because we won't be taking any campaign contributions from big corporations, lobbyists, or special interest groups. We know how to get the performance of a Rolls Royce with the price of a Chevy. With your small donations, we will use every penny to interact with the voters and get our message out there.
